Code Enforcement/Zoning
The Township is currently divided into a number of zoning districts designed to regulate land use and structures. Each zoning district has a set of specific regulations which apply to that district. The primary intent of the Township’s Zoning Ordinance is to protect the public health, safety, and welfare, as well as provide for rational development of the Township. Copies of the Ordinance are available for review or purchase at the Township Municipal Building. Specific questions regarding the provisions of the Zoning Ordinance should be directed to the Township’s Zoning officer.
The Zoning Officer is responsible for approving building permits before they are sent to an inspector for final review before a permit can be issued.
The Code Enforcement Officer is responsible for making sure Township Ordinances are being followed. It is the officer’s responsibility to make sure residents are adhering to laws and regulations.
